Music (?) To Their EarsWe've come across a "new" theory on how to warn the bears you're coming...it's called "singing". Yes, some people have had
success with singing while they're out for a walk in bear country. Apparently much better than whistling, singing lets the bears know you're there and there's no mistake
that you're a human and they then avoid you.
We neither confirm or deny this one...just thought it was interesting. Besides, singing a song is a pretty nice way to
go for an enjoyable walk in the woods. It's not clear to us if you have to be on key or not in order for this to be effective. We doubt that the bears are skilled music critics, but then again, who knows? |
